Overview

COTW Bot is a fan-made Twitch chatbot, Twitch extension and website for theHunter: Call of the Wild. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

By using COTW Bot through Twitch or this website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Data We Collect

When you interact with COTW Bot, the following data may be collected and stored:

Your Twitch username (lowercase)
Your Twitch User ID (used to link your account to the extension or to your website login)
In-game activity: hunt results, trophies, inventory, pets, achievements and coin balance
Timestamps of activity such as daily claims and last active time

No passwords, email addresses, payment information, or sensitive personal data are ever collected.

How We Use Your Data

Collected data is used solely to provide the COTW Bot experience:

Displaying your stats, trophies, and inventory in the Twitch extension panel and on this website
Tracking hunt participation, leaderboard rankings, achievements and mission progress
Linking your Twitch identity to your in-game profile

Your data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising purposes.

Twitch Identity Linking and Website Login

The Twitch extension uses Twitch's Identity Linking (ID Share) feature. It reads your Twitch User ID from the token provided by Twitch and resolves it to your Twitch username through the Twitch API, only to connect your Twitch account to your COTW Bot profile.

The website panel uses "Log in with Twitch". You sign in on Twitch's own page and Twitch tells us your Twitch User ID and username. We request no extra permissions (no email, no access to your account). The temporary Twitch access token is revoked immediately, and we store only a session token in your browser, which expires after 30 days. You can log out at any time from the panel.

Cookies and Browser Storage

The website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The panel keeps its login session token and a short-lived login check in your browser's storage so you stay logged in. Logging out removes them.

Data Storage

All data is stored on a private server operated by the COTW Bot developer. Data is retained for as long as you have an active profile. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

Request a copy of all data stored about you
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Opt out at any time by simply not interacting with the bot, extension or website

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via Twitch at wastedlight1.

COTW Bot interacts with the following third-party services:
